a guide to prevent viruses, spyware and other malware...very simple!

di ako magdidiscuss ng mga technical thingies masyado...hanap kayo ng forums na iba kung ganun ang hanap nyong info...
ang balak ko sa post na ito eh para makaiwas kayo sa virus and if ever magkaroon man kayo, malelessen nyo yung effect nun...

Security guidelines!

1. I'm not being brand-specific, but I highly suggest that you use Firefox as your browser... me powerful popup blocker siya, mas secure siyang maghandle ng forms and passwords, and generally hindi masyadong napuputakti ng virus ang firefox unlike IE.
2. Want a very secure anti-spyware software? Try Spybot - Search and Destroy, a very effective spyware detector/cleaner. This is absolutely free, easy to use, occupies a small space and useful if you really insist on using IE (kaw bahala kung mag IE ka pa rin :P)
3. Always update your antivirus (AND FIREWALL, MIND YOU), at least once every 3 days!
4. Please clear your history, cookies, fill up forms after using the internet. This prevents spyware from tracking you. You may also delete the files inside the "Temporary Internet Files" and "Temp" folder (not the folder itself). This folder may contain some suspicious stuff. You can clear that in IE under its Internet Options dialog box (a button there says Delete Files). In Firefox, it's much easier, as you can set it automatically after every session. VERY IMPORTANT WHEN IN RENTALS!!!
   
5. This is important (to emphasize, it will be in BOLD CAPS): NEVER EVER OPEN ANY LINK THAT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS,EVEN IF IT CAME FROM SOMEONE YOU KNOW. THOSE YM MESSAGES THAT SAY SOMETHING LIKE..."LOOK AT MY SUMMER PICS?...(BLAH BLAH) [LINK]" ARE PRIME SUSPECTS. MAILS SAYING THAT YOU WON THE LOTTERY, EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T JOIN, SOME PROMOTIONS FROM COMPANIES/PERSONS UNKNOWN TO YOU, AND EVEN MAIL FROM THOSE YOU KNOW, YET LACKS HIS/HER PERSONAL TOUCH SHOULD NOT BE OPENED. IF YOU INSIST, JUST ENSURE THAT ALL SECURITY IN YOUR PC IS ON. MANY VIRUSES HAVE BEEN CONTRACTED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW/DISREGARD THIS FACT. IN THE END, THEY ALSO SERVE AS UNWILLING TOOLS TO SPREAD MORE VIRUSES/SPYWARE. BE SECURE.
   
6. Please, stop browsing in dubious websites...some search results by google return trash pages...they can be distinguished when you see some terms like xxx, cracks, serial key in the search result. Judge whether a page is safe or not before clicking that link.
7. And if ever you contract a virus/spyware (remember, general guide ito. it will still be a case to case basis depending on your system)
1. HALT ALL BROWSING/MESSENGER/DOWNLOAD APPLICATIONS, OR IN GENERAL, ALL APPS THAT USE THE INTERNET. YOU ARE NOW INFECTED, AT LEAST DON'T SPREAD IT TO OTHERS.
2. This one is a bit for the advanced user: if you are familiar with Windows Task Manager (can be invoked by using the hotkey CTRL+ALT+DEL), kill processes with dubious names. If you are not sure, download Autoruns, extract and invoke Autoruns, Go to Options->(check each)Include Empty Locations,Hide Signed Microsoft Entries,Verify Code Signatures then Refresh(F5 ata). You will see a process list. If there is any process with a suspicious name, or the process ran from the Temp folder, most likely it is spyware. Delete the entry.
3. If you can't invoke Task Manager, then run Spybot. If it can't clean all the problems, allow it to run at next system startup. By that time, more or less you can access Task Manager. (This step may involve some restarts. If you are comfortable with Safe Mode, run spybot in safe mode...)
   
4. Try finding the faulty process (its directory path) and delete/quarantine it using your antivirus.
5. Repeat the said processes until you think your system is clean enough to work again. If not, backup and reformat...and be more wary of your security next time.
8. A tip: explore Spybot. It almost has everything you need to clean up your system. (Maybe i will post a spybot guide in the near future...)
   
9. Some more questions: try asking me in this blog and I may be willing to help...

Other Characters:

• Suzuhara Toji - was commissioned to pilot EVA-03, a unit that had the same specs as Asuka's 02. Unfortunate circumstances however lead to his disabilty. He was a very loving brother, even up to the point of beating up Shinji because of EVA-01's berserking. He was the Fourth Child.
  
• Kaworu Nagisa - he was sent out by SEELE to pilot EVA-02 and to accomplish a secret mission. Had deep feelings for Shinji. He somehow has a very close connection to Ayanami...that is because...(to be revealed) He is the Fifth Child.
• (first name) Fuyutsuki - he was the sensei of Shinji's mother, Yui Ikari, and later worked for Gendou in NERV. Apparently, has feelings of love for Yui.

Neon Genesis Evangelion review...part 1...almost spoiler-free

at bilang pagtanaw ng masayang utang na loob sa paglink ni jctots sa akin...heto ang anime na irereview ko (fresh from 101 mp pa ako hahaha...defense na lang)...isang popular anime ang irereview ko (actually one of my favorites...classic eh)...at ito ang...tan tan tan tan...

Neon Genesis Evangelion!

Well, it's unlike your usual mecha anime in which you see metals exploding, high powered laser beams and all...because for one, the robots in Evangelion are biological. Also, it has many psychological references, attributing to the fact that maker Hideaki Anno suffered a severe case of depression before making Evangelion.



Characters

• Ikari Shinji - our protagonist (I believe). He has a very weak personality, attributed to her mother's early demise and his father's less than human treatment on him. Pilots EVA-001.
  
• Ayanami Rei - a pretty girl, but very quiet (not much my type). RARELY speaks, has no emotions (since she is artificially made) until one time, when she cried...Pilots EVA-000, the prototype. Likes Shinji (revealed later)
  
• Sohryu Asuka Langley - pretty girl, yes but a very undesirable girl at that. Has an intolerable attitude. Attached to her mother so much. She hates to admit it, but she really likes Shinji a lot. Pilots EVA-002.
• Katsuragi Misato - the most beautiful girl in the anime (arguably). Serves as guardian and motherly figure for Shinji. Is very emotional.
• Akagi Ritsuko - the daughter of the maker of the supercomputer at NERV. Hates her mother so much she dyed her hair to forget all about her. Ends up having an illicit affair with Gendou Ikari. Otherwise a ncie character.
  
• Ikari Gendou - obviously Shinji's father. Is very cold towards things, except for Rei and the memory of Shinji's mother (previous statement has a very big relation)...

This has almost no spoilers...the next one might have...more wallpapers...

So this post will contain some info about onegai twins...again I will warn readers that spoilers maybe present.

Onegai Twins is a sequel to the anime Onegai Teacher. (It is sometimes given the title Please Twins, much like Onegai Teacher is Please Teacher)

Please Twins! is a story mainly revolving around three high school students: Maiku Kamishiro, Karen Onodera, and Miina Miyafuji. The three were drawn together by a photograph of their childhood home which later makes all of them seek out the house in the picture. However, the picture only has two children - a boy and a girl. Hence, only one of the girls, Karen or Miina, is related to Maiku. The only other identifying feature of the pair in the picture is that the boy and the girl have eyes of the same color, blue eyes; a feature that furthers the ambiguity as all three of them have the same eye color.

Here is where matters complicate: Maiku gets confused as to whether he would treat either Miina or Karen as a sibling or a lover. The girls also love Maiku so much, forming a possibly incestuous relationship. To resolve the matter, the characters venture into discovering their past, at the constant risk of losing love to another one (for there will be a sibling, and a lover).

Many characters from Onegai Teacher appear in Onegai Twins, particularly Mizuho Kazami, Ichigo Morino and Matagu Shido (I will make a review on Onegai Teacher sometime later).

As with some anime, it can be classified as light ecchi, containing some bathing scenes...yet this does not alter the nice story that it contains. It has nice comic relief and is not too dramatic when needed. In my opinion, boys would appreciate this anime much more than girls would.

If you have watched Onegai teacher before, Twins is a lot less ecchi than the previous, and has a more realistic plot, apart from Marie-chan's appearance.

In summary, it is a fun anime to watch. Not too serious, nor too much of a comic relief. If you are also the person that fancies plots such as sibling love, you'll like this anime very much. Recommeneded for ages 15 above.

Naguguluhan si terens boy kung mag-koCoE siya dahil sa iba't iobang dahilan...:P ako ewan ko, kasi CoE ako pero di ko na masyadong magets yung latter part ng 21...saya saya, alam ko pa namang basic subject ito para sa kurso ko wahaha.

Super bagsak ako sa 3rd exam, grabe. Kaya ngayong araw na ito eh nagpakonsulta kami kay taba este kay grace (joke)...at natuto kami kahit yung almost ng half ng oras eh nagkukulitan lang kami...tas expired pala yung atm ni grace kaya ayun...nabiro pa ako na pag kasama ko si grace, wala siyang pera. Tas nanghinayang ako dun sa rummate ni grace kasi sinabi raw nung rummate nya na cute ako wahahaha...:P yaw namang ipakilala...huhuhu :D pero frend pa rin kita grace kahit ganun...:D

drama ko...balik na ako sa flip flop...tas 41 kami after ng exam bukas...anong klaseng weekend ito...yak talaga...

how to reverse a dota game

nga pala, just wanna say congrats kay gaspy aka julie dahil siya na ang ating exte head! suportahan taka ka namin :P.

How to reverse a game in DotA:

• Kahit mapush sa gitna, huwag sumuko! isipin nyo na lang na pera yung swarm ng creeps na dadagsa sa base nyo, so magfarm kayo! :D
• Pagkafarm (maglast hit, etc), bili ng power items...probably mananadista yung kalaban at susugod sa gilid nyo (patatagalin kumbaga yung laro)...take advantage of that.
  
• Huwag susuko lalo na kung alam mong end game hero gamit mo! Sabi nga nila, patience is a virtue :P
• Pagtulungan ang pinakamalakas sa kanila. Mahilig magtago? magtrue sight. Hanap rin ng kakamping mabilis tumakbo at magaling mangstun/magslow.
• Pag medyo nadrive away na yung mga creeps sa gitna ng base nyo, kayo naman! Antay ng creep swarm on one side, sama dun and boom! Magkakandarapa silang ipagtanggol yun then disband! Guerilla time habang nagpapalakas...Mag neutral habang nagtatago :P
• Harasser ba kalaban mo? Feeling ko payat yun, so banatan nyo lagi at pagtulungan.
• Pag me mga heroes na me mga covert tactics (tulad ni techies), always bring a true sight. It would make a big difference kung kita nyo yung mga naglolothar at nagbobomba...
• Then pag malaks na kayo, face them head-on! Masusurpresa sila sa lakas na nakuha nyo. Pwedeng backfight...basta always catch tehm off guard. Tsaka kayo makipagharapan pag premium na items nyo.
• Then one big push pag patay silang lahat. GG. >:D Tanungin nyo sina cris at marc hehehehehe! :D

The best game yun...andami ko pang KS (sori marvin grace jc :D) Pero basta nabaligtad namin yung dota kahapon, ansaya :D

Well ang masaya sa anime na ito ay mayroon siyang right mix ng romance with fantasy and magic...kahit base siya sa isang renai game [visual novel, or H-game], very decent one, girls can appreciate this one.

Emiya Shirou wakes up one day realizing the disturbance happening in Fuyuki City. It dawns upon him that the city he lives in is a center of mana that can summon the most powerful artifact on Earth, the Holy Grail. Through a series of ordeals, Shirou realizes that he is a Master, a talented Magi that is able to summon servants. Accidentally, he summons Saber, a lovely knight who fights alongside with him. In this anime, Masters and Servants fight it out to obtain the Holy Grail.

• Masters
• Emiya Shirou - master of Saber, adopted son of Emiya Kiritsugu. Has a talent for tracing sorcery (imagines a weapon, copies its history and properties.) Has a very heroic attitude, which often pisses off Saber, because the latter wants to protect her master. Later falls in love with Saber.
  
• Tohsaka Rin - master of Archer, by accident. Apprehensive at first, she learns to appreciate Archer. She secretly likes Shirou, though her pride doesn't allow her to profess.
• Shinji Matou - [the real master is Sakura Matou, read below] acts as Rider's master. Has a cowardly attitude.
• Ilyasviel von Einzbern - master of Berserker. Even though she looks lolita, she has a very cold attitude.
• Kotomine Kirei - master of Lancer and Gilgamesh. On why, i can't spoil more. Head priest of Kotomine Church, in where Rin always goes.
• Souichirou Kouzuki - master of Caster. Is also a teacher at Shirou's school
• Servants
• Saber - has strong feelings, but often hides it in the guise of knightly honor. Always carries herself with dignity. True Identity: King Arthur
  
• Archer - pessimistic but otherwise cool. Awalys appears on the back of Shirou's mind. True Identity: Emiya Shirou's heroic soul.
• Berserker - he only says growl! because his mind was corrupted from the Twelve Labors. True Identity: Heracles
• Lancer - will fight to the death to accomplish his ideals. Believes only himself. True Identity: Culcinus, hero of Ireland
• Rider - righteous, although would resort to any means to get what she wants. True Identity: Medusa
• Caster - shows deep love for her master, is tricky. Master of Assassin. True Identity: Medea
• Assassin - for some reasons, he cannot be determined, although he carries the job of being a samurai quite well. True Identity: Kojiro Sasaki
• Other Characters
• Sakura Matou - true master of Rider. Obviously has feelings for Shirou, she even cooks for her everyday.
• Fujimura Taiga - was assigned by Kiritsugu as Shirou's guardian since he died. Often serves as comic relief. Teaches at Shirou's school, eats at Shirou's house.

• The visual novel has 3 scenarios, each with Shirou ending up with either Saber, Tohsaka or Sakura. The anime adaptation has the first story, with a few from the second.
• This anime contains many citations to legends, so it looks quite cool.
• Tohsaka speaks crude German.

almost 3 days of darkness...and depression

well alam nyo naman siguro...
baka mas maaga nyong naranasan..ako 11am ng huwebes
lahat ng kuryente sa luzon ay namatay (maliban siguro sa ibang prime places)

2 hours of pure wind and rainfall (that was going on for abpout 2 days before that)

disaster follows: walang kuryente...at nakita ko personally ang domino effect...mula sa pandesal na di maluto...sa mga nakapila sa gasolinahan...sa mga punong nilipad...sa mga dahong nakakalat...(see UP for details...actually kahit labas siguro ng komunidad nyo)

well i saw the full view kanina sa up, nung nagkita kami ni terens boy...and i realized na hindi lang pala physical distance ang pwedeng idulot ng ganyang disasters...
ang hirap kumontak ng mga tao!!! kung di pa namin nakita si robots 1 (si baste) para mapatawag si marvin eh ewan namin king paano siya tatawagin! ndi rin siya sumama sa amin para gumawa ng 41 :P
tas si marie naman...tumawag pa kami sa bintana ng molave, pinagtinginan kami ng mag babae sa lower floor, nakakita kami ng mga UMMM... tas sa sobrang kahihiyan balik kami sa lobby ng molave...buti na lang andun si robots 2 (si trisha) at pinatawag si marie. at feeling namin ni terens naglakwatsa sa sm... so nahantong na kami lang nina jeb ang gumawa ng 41 kaninang hapon...

grabe daming nangyari...natuto akong tumantya ng tubig sa manual saing (ndi ko dati matantya nang maganda)...natuto akong tipirin ang baterya ng selpon ko (although nakisaksak ako kina terens dahil ngayong gabi lang nagkakuryente rito sa bahay)...natuto akong bilangin ang mga gamo-gamo sa kalangitan...maglaro nang kandila nang di makalat...magtelebabad...at wala dun ang mag-aral (waaah 41 probset bukas!!!)

at nagyong gabi...labag man sa tamang itinerary...magpapakasarap ako...bukas na ang 41 hell waaaaah :P
